IntraEdge initially created the designs for the mobile application, ensuring an appropriate look and feel. After winning rave trade show reviews, CyMedica tapped IntraEdge to develop the working application.
The challenge? The design had to work for both iOS and Android devices. This meant there were multiple screen sizes, hardware and OS versions that affected layout, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) stack and software features.
“There was a high level of complexity and diverse factors that we had to solve,” said Project Delivery Manager of IntraEdge. “We were basically designing for everybody’s smartphone.”
Developers worked closely with CyMedica engineers to ensure that data from the application and therapy device could be captured. As a result of the collaboration between IntraEdge and CyMedica, the e-vive system received FDA 510(k) clearance and passed Apple store review with only minimal edits.
CyMedica is now discussing how IntraEdge can continue to make enhancements to the application as the technology evolves.
